Genres..........????

Quite a few of my friends, juniors in college, who have just recently started
listening to different kinds of music(or are wondering about it) have asked me..
how the hell is one genre different from another??

Say you compare Alternative rock with hard rock with pop. It is difficult.
Once you start listenin to this stuff you can make out the difference...ne how
this is one way.....below are the ways how a band or singer might talk about,say
LIGHT.........

POP

Faster than the speeding light she’s flying
Trying to remember where it all began
She’s got herself a little piece of heaven
Waiting for the time when earth shall be as one

You always had hope.....and it usually has a "HAPPY ENDING"

If brittney spears had her choice light would be something to do with
one of her boyfriends, ex, current or future.....

Alternative Rock

nobody really knows where they're supposed to go
hiding behind a wall
afraid that they'll lose it all
but it's alright
just follow the light
and don't be afraid of the dark


The situation is really BLEAK but there IS a way out...


Hard Rock

And it feels right this time
On this crash course we’re in the big time
Pay no mind to the distant thunder

Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel
Is just a freight train coming your way


Every thing was JUST FINE, but then every thing comes crashing down,
you are screwed and nothing can be done!!!


Take your pick!!! what I would suggest give everything a chance and then decide.
Belive it or not I have the album by a band called AQUA (Barbie girl!!) So
I did try EVERYTHING!!!!
